Urgent Safety Notice - Site Security

Ambulance PE report

Please ensure the security of our colleagues, Trust sites and stations is not compromised.

The identity of visitors MUST be challenged and confirmed. Do not assume someone in ambulance uniform is a legitimate visitor.

PLEASE CHECK AND CHALLENGE!

  • Visitors/contractors must wear their own organisation’s identity badges while on Trust property as well as a Trust visitor’s badge. Any person who is not in possession of a legitimate ID MUST be challenged and asked for suitable identification to confirm who they are, provided it is safe and appropriate to do so.
  • If any such person is challenged but is unable to provide identification and a satisfactory explanation (which must be checked) for being on the premises, staff must seek assistance and report the matter to their line manager and EOC Duty Manager. Any unauthorised access or attempted unauthorised access must be escalated immediately as it constitutes a security breech and a Datix MUST be completed.
