Volunteer Staff Responders

CFR training Sophie and Carl

For patients who are experiencing a category one emergency (for example cardiac arrest) we know that there is a proven clinical benefit in providing early access to Basic Life Support and Defibrillation, followed by ALS and transportation to hospital and secondary care.

There has been an interest in the Volunteer Staff Responder scheme across EEAST. Therefore, a staff responder framework is being developed to provide more opportunities for these patients to receive the earliest care possible at the time of need through off duty volunteer clinical staff.

If you are interested then please complete the below MS Form to capture your location and skill set. This will enable the Trust to map those willing to be involved in the scheme to the local need within their communities.

Thank you for your interest in this scheme.
