Volunteers complete First Level 3 Award By CFR training

CFR training course

We have recently finished delivering the first in-house qualification that will allow our volunteer trainers to assist with the induction training for CFRs.

By completing this course, they will receive the full Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement which allows them to acutely assess students for the CFR’s regulated medical qualification completed at induction, the Level 3 Award for First Responders on Scene: Ambulance Service Community Responder. This will allow them to work alongside our Community Response Training Officers supporting training more CFRs across the region and helping to support patients and frontline crews.

Mark Martin – Course Lead & Community Response Training Officer, said:

“It has been great to deliver this course to some of our volunteer trainers; this will allow us to accept more CFRs on courses or even run extra courses in months to come. I want to Thank the first 5 for being such a good group and for their hard work to get through this course, and I look forward to running more in the coming months/years”.

Vikki Darby - Senior Commercial Training Officer – CFR, said:

“After the first few years of running the AET for volunteer trainers, it is great to have a pathway for our trainers should they want it, Congratulations to all and thank you for your ongoing support of all volunteers.”
