The Men’s Wellbeing Network (MWN) will be a network to promote equality within the workplace with a focus on gender issues impacting men’s wellbeing at work. The stereotyping that men have all got to be strong macho types, affected by nothing, and the protectors of their families, has perpetuated a culture of a reluctance to express any concerns for their own mental wellbeing, a refusal to ask for help and, a reticence to engage with health services. EEAST has created this network to be a safe space for men and those who identify as men to join and share experiences and talk about issues around their mental wellbeing.

With the launch of this new network, we would also like to request for expressions of interests from staff would be interested in the roles of:

  • Chair
  • Relationships Building/External Events officer:
  • Information officer/secretary:

If you are interested in any of these roles please send your expressions of interest, explaining why you think you will be suitable in the role to the Equality Diversity and Inclusion team EDI@eastamb.nhs.uk.
