Within the ESR system is the function of the  ESR Self-service,  for all NHS workers to access . Currently over 2 million NHS employees use the ESR Self-service system.

As a Trust we have launched the ESR Self-Service last year and currently committed to launch the e-payslips via the ESR self-Service Portal for you to have instant access to your payslips.

In addition, the Trust is committed to reduce the amount of paper we use, as part of our green initiative and to increase the data security from hardcopy payslips that remains around the departments. From then onwards, payslips will only be available via the,  Electronic Staff Record (ESR) Self Service Portal ( plus via the ESR App on your iPads and mobile phones). People who exclusively only undertake Bank work, will move to e-payslips as part of the phase 2 of the programme.

In December 2022, nationally 2.2 million payslips were issued across the NHS community. ESR system gives you the ability to view and download your current and historic payslips.
