Strike restrictions could make disruption worse, admits governmentThe Health Service Journal reported on Unison’s announcement of a new strike for 8 March, highlighting that EEAST had not taken part in previous industrial action. The article followed an exploration of the possible impact of introducing minimum levels of service for the ambulance trusts.

NHS staff cried in safety interviews, says watchdogBBC News covered the Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch (HSIB), which monitors safety in the health service, producing an interim report on the impact on the wellbeing of NHS staff in England as a result of long delays in urgent and emergency care. The HSIB said that many staff it interviewed for a national investigation "cried or displayed other extreme emotions" when asked about their working environment. The story was also covered by the Guardian.
