Gender ideologyThe policies and guidance of North East Ambulance Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service on the use of pronouns were referenced in a Daily Mail article which is the second part of their investigation into gender ideology in the NHS.  

Local 

Critical care expansionA press release about EEAST strengthening its ties with air ambulance charities was covered by the Bishop’s Stortford Independent, Cambs Times, Ely Standard, The Hunts Post, the Lynn News and Wisbech Standard. In the first six months of the new innovative regional care model, an average of a third more severely unwell or injured patients in the region received critical care support from the air ambulance charities – the East Anglian Air Ambulance, Essex and Herts Air Ambulance and Magpas Air Ambulance – with help of BASICS charities and EEAST’s own advanced practice critical care paramedics. 

COO leaves EEASTThe health correspondent at the Eastern Daily Press (EDP) had sight of Marcus Bailey’s announcement on Need to Know that he was leaving the Trust and approached us for comment. We supplied the journalist with a statement which was included in the article.  

Duty manager recognitionThomas Pont, duty manager in the Norwich Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), was interviewed by BBC Radio Norfolk about receiving an award for outstanding service from the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE). In the interview, which starts 2:20:40 into the broadcast, Thomas talks about receiving the awards, what motivated him to join EEAST seven years ago and career opportunities at the Trust. 

Depot expansion plansThe Eastern Daily Press (EDP) and Norwich Evening News reported on plans to expand the Longwater Ambulance depot to accommodate additional services. The extension to the current building at Longwater would see the fleet services workshop relocate from Hellesdon, which is described in the planning statement to South Norfolk Council as not being fit for purpose. 

Town council donation to CFRsA donation by Cromer Town Council of a kit bag containing medical equipment to their local community first responder group was reported on by the Eastern Daily Press (EDP) and North Norfolk News. The story included a quote from EEAST CEO Tom Abell.
