Who Cares Wins Awards 2022

Awards

NHS Charities Together (NHSCT) is partnering with The Sun for the annual Who Cares Wins awards, which honour some of the many people who work across the health service.

Last year’s ceremony was broadcast on Channel 4, hosted by Davina McCall and attended by many famous faces including HRH The Duke of Cambridge and David Beckham.

Dame Deborah James formally opened this year’s nominations last week asking for people to nominate ‘the NHS heroes who have gone above and beyond for you, show them how much they mean to us all and let us all thank them.’

If there is someone you think deserves recognition for their incredible work over the past 12 months, whether they are colleagues, family members or friends, you can find out how to nominate them here: thesun.co.uk/whocareswins

The awards categories are:

  • Best Doctor - an NHS GP, hospital doctor or consultant
  • Best Midwife - an NHS midwife who has provided great care for a woman or her baby
  • Best Team - any NHS or healthcare team that has gone above and beyond the call of duty
  • Best Nurse - an NHS nurse in any field
  • Ultimate Lifesaver - a person or a team who performed an emergency rescue, operation or similar
  • Ground-breaking Pioneer or Discovery - scientists and/or researchers who have contributed to medical science

The closing date for nominations is 12th July 2022.
