In continuation with the Trust’s rollout of the Zivver application, it will now be available to all staff who use the Outlook desktop application.

This is the final step in the rollout of this application, with Zivver also being available within the Office 365 (web) version of email and as an application on the Trust’s mobile devices.

For those staff who use the desktop application, Zivver will appear along the top toolbar within Outlook, as shown in the example below.

When creating or responding to an email, you will notice the Zivver toolbar along the top of the email message.

Important: Please note that for Zivver to be enabled, you will need to toggle the radio button to “On”, as per the example below.

When should I use Zivver?

Zivver should be used whenever you are sending sensitive information, such as patient or staff personal data or information that may be classed as commercially sensitive.

Zivver enables messages to be sent securely, facilitates the sharing of large files and allows senders to remotely revoke access to emails/attachments that may have been sent in error, or where access is no longer required. These steps are all auditable, providing the Trust with greater assurance around the security of personal and sensitive information.

Further information about Zivver, FAQs and helpful “How to” videos can be found within the Microsoft Teams Zivver Help Centre page, or contact the Information Governance team at informationgovernance@eastamb.nhs.uk.
