Help us celebrate LGBT History Month

LGBT History Month Logo

During February, our Trust is marking LGBT History Month by celebrating the diversity of our staff while giving everyone a chance to reflect on the progress we have made towards equality and tolerance and the work which still needs to be done.

The international event takes place annually and is designed to help inform and educate people away from prejudice while making LGBT+ people visible in all their rich diversity.

During the month, four members of the #WeAreEEAST LGBT Network will share information about different aspects of LGBT history through articles published to Need to Know each Wednesday – so keep your eyes peeled for updates.

Dorothy Hosein, Chief Executive, said:

“We are absolutely committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in every aspect of our work.

This month gives us a chance to celebrate the rich and diverse history of our LGBT+ communities while reflecting on the progress we have already made, as well as what more we could do to help ensure the world we live in treats everyone with the same tolerance and respect.”
