Inappropriate calls – part II

Bedford EOC 1

Earlier this year, the Trust shared some of the most inappropriate 999 calls of 2015 with the public.

These included a man who called us about a dead squirrel, a woman locked out of her house and another with a sick dog.

The Trust’s communications team is now calling on your help again.

Have you received a 999 call that left you lost for words? Did you attend an incident that was not what it seemed? Or deal with a medical incident that could have easily been avoided?

With winter approaching, we want to remind the public that we are an emergency service and people should use 999 wisely as part of our Right Call campaign as well as giving out advice to prevent incidents.

If you come across such calls in the coming weeks, please email media officer Adam Gretton with the CAD number at adam.gretton@eastamb.nhs.uk.
