Praise for "first rate" service in latest patient survey

Staff with patient on stretcher at accident and emergency

Our staff have been praised yet again for their professionalism and “first rate” care in the latest patient survey.

One-hundred percent of respondents said they were very satisfied or satisfied with the care they had received from the ambulance staff.

Our EOC staff were also praised with more than 99% saying their call was very acceptable, acceptable or fairly acceptable.

Comments from 119 respondents to February’s patient report include: “I was treated excellently with respect and friendliness, couldn’t ask for more”; “well done, thank you for the excellent service provided”; “the care and consideration to me was of the highest end and I commend all the staff for their kindness”; and “they (the staff) were a credit to their profession”.

More than 99% praised the ambulance staff they were in contact with as very professional and 98.2% of respondents said they were treated with dignity and respect by paramedics.

Chief Executive Anthony Marsh said: “I’m delighted with these results of the latest patient survey. They are a reflection of the dedication and hard work of all of you to delivering high levels of patient care, often in the most difficult circumstances.
