Trust Board update: what we’re working on

Our Trust Board have a series of formal and informal meetings and workshops throughout the year to discuss where the Trust should be going, the challenges it faces and to check it is delivering the services to patients and the support to you as staff and volunteers.  Last Thursday, the Board had a workshop day and discussed a range of things including leadership, strategy and CAD implementation.

The Board were updated on how our new strategy was being developed, and how the views of staff were being incorporated into it.  This strategy will lay out where we want to go over the next five years, how we support and develop you, the infrastructure we need to deliver our services, how we deliver the best possible clinical services and care to patients and how we will work together with our partners and stakeholders as new models of care emerge.

The Board then heard how the new CLERIC CAD implementation was progressing, with Bedford due to go live in the early hours of Wednesday, 18th November. CLERIC, once embedded, will enable us to provide a better service to patients and be a much better and more reliable system for our staff to use.

We aim to report back on future meetings of the Board, so you are informed of the various matters they are discussing and the decisions being made.  We will also be running a series of features in Need to Know profiling each Board member, so you can learn a bit more about who sits on the Board, their roles and responsibilities,  what they do and what their background is. If you see a Board member out and about please do say hello and have a chat.

And of course, all staff and volunteers are welcome to attend public Board meetings – the next board meeting will be on 26th November  at Gt Notley station in Essex (CM77 7AH), from 10am – 12.30pm. This is a great opportunity to see what the Board are tackling, and your chance to meet them face to face and ask any questions. We hope to see you there!
