‘You are stars’: staff praised in latest survey

Ambulance side shot

You, our staff, have been commended as 'completely professional', 'the safest in the country', and 'amazing' in our latest patient satisfaction latest survey.

More than 90 patients completed questionnaires; with 97.7% describing the overall service as either satisfactory or very satisfactory they received from EEAST in November.

In addition, 100% of respondents were very satisfied, satisfied, or fairly satisfied with the care they received from you. A patient from East Suffolk said: "I feel safest with EEAST staff; I would not be here without their capable hands or speed, they are the best."

Another patient added: “They have all been wonderful, professional, kind, reassuring and experts at what they do. I cannot stress enough how grateful I am for their help.”

Sandy Brown, Director of Nursing and Clinical Quality, said: “It's enormously beneficial to see respondents informing us on these high levels of quality of care. It's something which is at the forefront of our priorities and which we will continue to work on moving forward.”

More than 96% of respondents found the service either met their expectations or exceeded them, but 5.1% did say that their journey in the ambulance was uncomfortable.

Chief Executive Robert Morton said: "It is extremely rewarding for myself and staff alike to hear such positive comments about the service people have received.

"These results speak volumes about the constant high levels of professionalism and care all of you put in on a daily basis."
