A CFR Christmas success story

Thanks to a training initiative between South Woodham Ferrers community first responder (CFR) group and local health visitors, the parents of a two-year-old child who had a febrile convulsion knew exactly what to do.

The CFR group has been helping to deliver emergency aid awareness sessions for new parents in conjunction with health visitors for the last couple of years and the training was put into use by the parents in South Woodham Ferrers who called 999 on Saturday (20th December).

The child was taken to Broomfield Hospital after treatment from an emergency crew and a CFR, who was on scene in four minutes.
