A new era for life-saving equipment

New defibrillator 2 May 2014

The next generation of defibs will soon be on our ambulances following a familiarisation day at Barton Mills last week with Trust staff and supplier Ortus Ltd, following the purchase of 160 defibs earlier this year.

On Thursday (22nd May), fleet and training staff joined Ortus to talk about how the equipment will be secured into ambulances, what the training will entail, and to discuss the logistics of migrating from Zoll units to the new equipment.

It is expected that the next stage of the rollout will involve several units being given to staff to familiarise themselves and give their feedback to help the training process.

Regular updates on the progress of the roll-out programme will be reported in Need to Know.
