Time to Talk Day is only a week away - are you ready?

Time to Talk Day 2019 - umbrella

Next Thursday, 7 February, is Time to Talk Day – a day when everyone is encouraged to have a conversation about mental health. Find out how to get involved!

At EEAST, we know that it benefits all of us to talk about mental health, even Prince William!

Time to Talk Day is run by Time to Change, to help spread the word that there are lots of different ways to have a conversation about mental health. And you don’t have to be an expert to talk.

That's why we'll be encouraging you to ‘Walk and Talk’ – take 15 minutes to go for a walk with a colleague and talk about how you're feeling. The Wellbeing Team will also be offering drop in sessions (details below) for anyone who wants to talk:

Wednesday 6th February

  • Bedford EOC – wellbeing room 10am – 2pm

Thursday 7th February

  • Norwich EOC – meeting room 6.30am – 3pm
  • Melbourn – wellbeing office 11am – 2pm
  • Southend ambulance station – 11am – 3pm

There will also be posters, top tip cards and other resources around the offices, giving ideas on how to start your conversation, so keep an eye out!

Time to Change is England’s biggest programme to challenge mental health stigma and discrimination and is run by the charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.

We want everyone who works here to feel they can be open about their mental health. If you need support or have any questions you can contact the Wellbeing Hub on 03456 089945 or email us wellbeing.info@nhs.net.  Your contact will always be confidential unless there is any potential risk involved.
