ACA Catherine’s daring abseil raises more than £450 for charity

Ambulance Care Assistant Catherine Renew faced her fear of heights and abseiled off the Royal London helipad.

The helipad is 17 floors above the streets of London and the highest in Europe.

Catherine, who works on the high dependency unit at Greenstead, took the challenge head on two weeks ago and raised £460 for the London Air Ambulance.

She said: “I was absolutely terrified, but I did it! Thank you to everyone who sponsored and supported me. I was very glad when I got on the ground!”

You can still donate to Catherine’s challenge, by visiting her fundraising page.
