Advanced Paramedics in Urgent Care

Advanced Paramedics EEAST

Staff across the Trust may have noticed that some Specialist Paramedics and Emergency Care Practitioners have recently become Advanced Paramedics in Urgent Care.

To reach the required standard for this band 7 clinical role, existing clinicians submitted portfolio and continuing professional development (CPD) evidence, which was assessed against criteria drawn from the four pillars of advanced practice (leadership, clinical practice, facilitating learning and evidence, research and development) and a new job description and person specification.

Advanced Paramedics in Urgent Care represent some of our most senior skilled and knowledgeable clinicians. They'll serve as clinical mentors and role models to our staff and demonstrate to all at EEAST, that there is a clear pathway of career progression available and a commitment to clinical strategy, development and advancement by the Trust.
