Celebrate Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) in research with the National Institute for Health Research on Thursday 3rd October.

Allied Health Professionals represent the third largest professional workforce in health and social care — their contributions are critical to the development and delivery of high quality, patient centred clinical research.

Allied Health Professionals in Research: Amplifying Impact will bring together AHPs already research-active or looking to get involved in research.

The programme of keynote speakers includes Hugh McKenna, Dean of Medical School Development, Ulster University, from the Research Excellence framework Advisory Panel. Along with workshops, posters and case studies, this event will focus on and celebrate

  • The changing face of research
  • The changing face of healthcare and the importance of research, linking with the NHS Long Term Plan
  • Current impact, and widening our appreciation of ways to demonstrate impact.

The organisers will be looking for poster submissions, providing an opportunity to share learning with colleagues and peers from across the community. There will also be the chance to get feedback from a broad range of attendees, network with fellow AHPs and develop your presentation skills.
