All Women in EEAST (AWE) hold first local meeting

AWE Chelmsford

All Women in EEAST (AWE) members have held their first local meeting in Chelmsford.

About a dozen women attended the meeting just before Christmas at Chelmsford Ambulance Hub, where they learned more about AWE and how it can help and provide support for women working in EEAST.

The regional group was established in March 2017 to provide women within the Trust with networking opportunities, open up mentoring pathways and encourage and support personal and professional development.

Lindsey Stafford-Scott, Director of People and Culture, established the group. She said: “AWE has really evolved over the past nine months and it’s great to see local meetings like this one now starting to happen. Our online community is growing and it’s warming to see members already benefiting from professional support, coaching and friendship.

“We look forward to seeing AWE grow even further over the coming year. We have exciting things planned including our first joint-event with emergency services in Essex to mark International Women’s Day in March, which we’ll be releasing tickets for very soon.”
