Ambulance duo praised for children’s charity visit

Two members of staff are ‘a credit to the service’ following their visit to an Ely children’s charity last week.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Claire Dunham and Paramedic Alison Owen took an ambulance to Little Miracles, a charity for autistic and special need children.

They both spent Saturday (20th August) afternoon with the children talking to them about safety and the jobs they do within the service.

Alex Knowles, who works at the charity, said: “Most of the children here have severe learning difficulties and behavioural issues and Claire and Alison were exceptional today. We have had so much positive feedback from the parents and volunteers. They made the day very special and memorable. Thank you – you are a credit to the service.”
