Awards bid for Trust communications

Blurred ambulance

Our communications team is celebrating after being shortlisted for two national awards in the field.

The popular Clinical Quality Matters, produced by Internal Communications Manager Tara Rose with the Clinical Directorate, is up for Publication of the Year at the Public Sector Communications Awards, whilst Tara and her comms colleagues are in the running for a Team of the Year award.

The scheme is open to organisations including NHS trusts, councils, police, fire, and charities. Last year, Need to Know won the Publication of the Year award for its pioneering format and delivery in 2014.

Head of Communications Joy Hale said: “Compared to our county 999 partners and similar-sized organisations, we’ve got a great deal to talk about and to support within and outside of the Trust, be it staff and volunteer communications, media relations, digital and web, and corporate and marketing.

“To be shortlisted in this award scheme a second year running has really given us a boost, and we’d like to thank everyone at the service who supports us in our work to inform, educate, and strive to reach as many different groups of people we can. By sheer virtue of the fact we had the confidence to enter the awards in the first place speaks volumes about the people I am very proud to work with as well.”

The team will find out whether the shortlisting has led to awards wins on 14th July.
