Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) network meeting

The second meeting of EEAST Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) network will be held on 16th May in the ground floor meeting room at Melbourn (1:00 PM to 3:00 PM).

The overall purpose of the network is to help create a supportive working environment and policy framework for (BME) colleagues, while also encouraging all staff within EEAST to understand the needs of BME individuals within the community.

Sarah Boulton, who is the sponsor of the BME network for EEAST, will be attending as the main speaker. Lindsey Stafford-Scott (Director of People and Culture) and Bethan Billington (Deputy Director of People and Culture) will also be attending and update staff on Workforce Race Equality Standards (WRES) and the Trust's action plan. Other senior managers and non-executive directors will also be present.

The BME network meeting will be a constructive, inclusive and open forum for staff to discuss their concerns, while also understanding the actions being taken by the Trust to support staff from BME background working in the Trust.
