Book your place on free wellbeing seminar

A free seminar will take place this spring focusing on mental health and wellbeing.

The Trust has joined forces with State of Mind to offer the seminar for colleagues from EEAST, HM Prison and Probation Service, the military, police and fire and rescue service.

Four high profile speakers will be at the event on Friday 2nd March from 9.30am to 4pm at Stirling House Training and Conference Centre in Stradishall, Suffolk.

There will be presentations from Malcolm Rae who will talk about suicide and mental fitness and wellbeing. He will highlight positive practice and standards associated with leadership, culture and communication and will also discuss some positive approaches to reduce the levels of workplace stress.

Former rugby league players Jimmy Gittins and Danny Sculthorpe will talk about overcoming adversity and Dr Wesley O’Brien will deliver his interactive presentation, where conference delegates will familiarise themselves with evidence-based practices associated with physical activity.

In the afternoon delegates can select two workshops to attend from the following:

  • Mindfulness
  • Prevention of suicide
  • Reducing the stigma of self harm
  • Stress management
  • Dealing effectively with traumatic events

Lunch will be provided during which time delegates will be able to network and access information stands, where additional wellbeing information will be available.
