Brian Shipley

We are extremely saddened to report the news this week that Brian Shipley, former director of finance and deputy chief executive for Essex Ambulance Service, has passed away after a brave fight against illness.

Brian dedicated much of his life to the ambulance service, and was instrumental in setting up the Essex Air Ambulance charity.

Brian’s funeral will be on Friday, 15^th January at 11.30am at Chelmsford Crematorium, for any former colleagues that would like to attend. At the request of Brian and his family, guests are asked to please not wear black. If a number of staff attend in uniform, a Guard of Honour may be arranged – so please contact Anne Wright (anne.wright@eastamb.nhs.uk) if you wish to do so.
