Business Continuity Incident – Huntingdon Ambulance Station

Earlier this morning the Trust was alerted to a potential Legionnaires contamination at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

Due to the ambulance station being on the same site as the hospital, the local management team enacted their business continuity plans, relocated the Huntingdon crews to alternative locations and restricted access to Huntingdon ambulance station as a precaution.

The Trust estates team have now confirmed that the water service for the station comes directly from the mains water system and is not supplied via the hospital.

The station is now re-opened and is safe for staff to use.
