Are you a qualified (or soon-to-be) paramedic? Our research support services team is looking for more paramedics to participate in the RIGHT-2 stroke research study!

The RIGHT-2 is a 2-year stroke trial that tests the pre-hospital administration of GTN patches vs. sham patches by paramedics in FAST positive patients with a score of two or three.

This is a UK-wide ambulance-based study which is exploring whether lowering blood pressure at the acute onset of stroke (<4 hours), reduces death and disability.

So far EEAST paramedics have recruited an amazing 127 patients – this is a fantastic contribution to a study that could see the lives of stroke patients improve in the future.
