Cardiac arrest bootcamp: are you up for the challenge?

Side of RRV with lozenge

It’s when our patients need us the most so we need to be at our best; join the clinical team for a new, interactive training day to ensure your cardiac arrest management skills are at the best possible level.

Every clinician knows the challenges of delivering effective life support, so this CPD training will cover a broad range of cardiac arrest related topics, including:

  • the good, the bad and the ugly of resuscitation
  • team leadership and human factors
  • cardiac arrest checklists
  • airway management
  • ECGs
  • traumatic cardiac arrest
  • post-resuscitation care.

The day will be delivered by vastly experienced clinicians with real credibility when it comes to managing cardiac arrests. Open to clinicians of all levels, the bootcamp will include interactive lectures, workshops and real-life scenarios. It isn’t an advanced life support course, but will focus on the attention to detail needed in these life-threatening situations, and you will receive a CPD certificate and learning log for your professional portfolio.

The bootcamp will take place on Wednesday, 30th November at the Newmarket Training Centre from 9.30am until 4.30pm. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and you must be on a rest day to attend, unfortunately overtime or expenses cannot be paid.

If you feel that you are up to the challenge and would like a place, please email CardiacArrest@eastamb.nhs.uk.
