CFR Operational Handbook launched

CFR Handbook Launch

The community response team are pleased to announce the launch of the first edition of the CFR Operational Handbook. It has been created to assist all new and existing community first responders in understanding their role and responsibilities and will further support them whilst operating and volunteering on behalf of the Trust.

This handbook will act as a single source of information for matters relating to responding in the community and has includes forewords from our Chief Executive, Dorothy Hosein, and our Chief Operating Officer, Marcus Bailey.

Community first responders can access the handbook via our EVOLVE on-line training website.

Staff may also benefit from looking at this handbook to gain an insight into the role of the CFR. They can also access the handbook via EVOLVE.

Did you know:

  • EEAST has 250 CFR groups
  • 800 CFR volunteers
  • Our volunteers provided over 27,000 hours of available cover in June 2020
  • Clinical staff can now apply accreditation of prior learning (APEL) into joining a CFR group in their local area should they wish.

An additional handbook for CFR group co-ordinators has also been developed and will be published today on EVOLVE. This dedicated handbook for co-ordinators will assist them in being able to lead their CFR teams locally and effectively.
