Christmas annual leave restrictions

The Senior Leadership Board (SLB) has agreed that all operational colleagues who currently have a clause in their contract of employment that restricts them from booking annual leave over the Christmas period will now have this clause removed.

Those affected by this change currently have outlined within their contract that annual leave could not be booked on 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 31st December and 1st January.  These colleagues with this clause will now be able to request to book annual leave for Christmas 2018 onwards.  This change is effective immediately.

Please note that the usual principles and practices around requesting annual leave will continue to apply.

All other leave restrictions outlined in the Trust’s Annual Leave policy (section 9.2) continue to remain in place.
