Christmas comes early to Luton!

Father Christmas made an early tumble down the chimney and visited the children of staff at Luton station, handing out gifts along the way.

Last Saturday (10th December), 17 children descended on the station to visit Santa. Paramedic Matt Greetham organised the event with Emergency Care Assistant Julia Horswell as the Elf and Duty Locality Officer, Dave Tamarro starring as the big man in the red.

Dave, said: “We decided to do a Santa grotto for the kids as a way of showing staff that we do appreciate all their efforts, support, hard work and commitment throughout the year. We wanted to bring a bit of Christmas magic to their families, so we told staff about this and we were inundated with contributions to buy presents for the children which we did. All children had antlers, a present and a chocolate reindeer also of course a photo with Santa!

“We had an amazing day with one person saying their child was most definitely a believer after her visit to Santa”.

Are you planning something similar at your station, send your pics through to escommunications@eastamb.nhs.uk. We’d love to see them!
