Christmas Message from Robert Morton

In his annual Christmas message, Chief Executive Officer Robert Morton would like to thank staff across the Trust who will be working over the festive period.

Robert said: “I want to thank each and every one of you for your hard work throughout the year – you help us deliver the best service we can in our communities.

“When we join the ambulance service we recognised it is a job that is 24/7, 365 days a year. However, that doesn’t make it any easier when you’re working over Christmas and away from your families. So, from those of us who will get some time off over christmas, to those of you who will be working over christmas, thank you sincerely for everything you’re doing.”

Looking toward to the New Year, Robert added: “The next year is all about us getting to Good and beyond. We as an executive team are listening to you and we recognise there are things we can do to try and take the pressure off.  We’ve already introduced new schemes like additional early intervention vehicles and the patient safety intervention teams. We’re now working with our staff to do as much as we can to make sure you get home on time at the end of your shift, so you get to spend some time with your family as we know this is important to you, and therefore, it is important to us.”

The Executive team would like to wish all Trust staff a happy Christmas and New Year.
