Clinical quality and excellence on the agenda

Now is the time to book your place for the Trust’s clinical briefing on 29th July, which offers staff the opportunity to spend the day immersed in clinical quality and excellence.

The agenda includes internal and external speakers on a range of topics including the importance of learning from the perspective of a family, openness, honesty and transparency and the launch of the quality and safety strategy.

There will also be a series of workshops which you can choose from on the identification and management of sepsis, clinical mentoring and supervision, ECGs and the cardiac patient, involvement in inquests and listening to patient concerns.

Director of Nursing and Clinical Quality Sandy Brown said: “I have been really keen to bring back a specific clinical day at EEAST as it is so beneficial for staff. The programme we have put together is an excellent combination of what is on both the national and EEAST agenda and we will be welcoming some prestigious external speakers to give us their specialist knowledge.

“We will also be launching the quality and safety strategy, which will point the organisation in the clinical direction we want to go in over the next three years, and is integral to the ambulance service. I look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.”

There are spaces for 150 staff, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so book your place by emailing risk@eastamb.nhs.uk. The briefing will be held at Menzies Hotel in Bar Hill, Cambridgeshire and lunch and refreshments will be provided but you cannot be abstracted to attend. The full agenda will be published on Need to Know soon.
