Clinical update – strong heroin reported in Norfolk

Yellow kit bag

The Trust has been alerted to strong heroin in the Norfolk area, and are advising staff to be vigilant.

The heroin reportedly smells strongly of petrol.

Please be extra vigilant when treating known and suspect heroin users and ensure a naloxone kit is available.

If you have any queries, when with a patient, please give the clinical advice line (CAL) a call.

The clinical update is available on East24 in the clinical library.
