Clinical Waste

As we approach the festive period and the start of a new year, pressures on our services are inevitably going to increase.

As a direct result of these pressures, we are currently experiencing significant increases in clinical waste being generated through our Ambulances services and COVID-19 cleaning procedures. To mitigate the risk of sites becoming overwhelming with clinical waste we are scaling up our collections services to meet this demand.

The estates team would therefore like to inform all relevant staff members that have any issues with waste exceeding capacity, these issues must be directed to the estateswaste@eastamb.nhs.uk email address. This will ensure all issues are centrally collated and can be actioned accordingly. Please note, our clinical waste drivers are working extremely hard to maintain an efficient and effective waste collection services.
