Contacting the CQC

EEAST RRVs and amb on scene

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is responsible for regulating health and social care services.

As an independent regulator it makes inspections of services, publishes its findings, and can help enforce change to make sure trusts are meeting fundamental standards of quality and care. As you have read in Need to Know, our inspection has been officially announced as starting on 4th April; the visit is an important one, and the Trust will absolutely listen to and act on the CQC findings.

All staff have the opportunity to comment to the CQC confidentially prior to the inspection - if you wish to do so please make sure to use enquiries@cqc.org.uk so that issues are dealt with appropriately and in a timely way.

In turn, the CQC will come through our Head of Clinical Quality, Tracy Nicholls, for any information or assurances on issues as it sees fit. If you want to speak to Tracy about an issue, or wish to know more about the upcoming inspection, you can contact her at tracy.nicholls@eastamb.nhs.uk.

We’re also arranging some staff events where you’ll be able to speak to someone from the CQC in person - these will be held across the region, and we’ll share venues and dates with you as soon as we can. It’s hoped that staff will also have the opportunity to take part in focus groups, and speak to an inspector individually, during the visit itself.
