Corpuls defibs being upgraded across the Trust

Manual handling ambulance credited to SCAS

Starting this week, we’ll be upgrading our Corpuls defibrillators. Amongst other benefits, the upgrade will improve the ECG function and include a 3G modem.

The clinical engineering team are arranging a ‘hot swap’ of Corpuls devices on vehicles and at stations, where they’ll take one device but leave a replacement with you to use, meaning you won’t experience any service delays.

Users will notice some minor differences with the new units, but thorough instructions will be provided to duty locality officers (DLOs) for sharing with colleagues as stations are upgraded. The DLO teams, and senior locality managers, will be notified by email of the upgrade schedule for their area.

If you have any queries in the meantime regarding the rollout, please email the project team at corpuls3support@eastamb.nhs.uk.
