Corpuls update: please check for purple dots!

Manual handling ambulance credited to SCAS

Our new Corpuls monitors have recently been updated, but there are a number of units that still need the most up-to-date software installing.

It’s likely that most of the remaining units have been, or are still being, used for training purposes, but these devices need to be returned to clinical engineering as a matter of priority to ensure that the benefits of the new software are being realised.

With that in mind, we’re asking everyone to please check the colour-coded stickers on the Corpuls units; any device with the latest software already installed will have a purple dot sticker on all three parts of the Corpuls. Any units that have a different colour sticker on (or not stickers at all) require updating.

If you find one on your station, please notify your management team and complete a Datix; please make sure to include details of where the device is and its asset or serial number.

Managers: please ensure that units are located and then contact clinical engineering, who can help provide an on-the-spot hot swap of the device for use.
