Could your friends or family join our ops team?

Do you have friends or family who you think would make a perfect addition to our ops team? If so, we’d like to hear from you!

We’re currently recruiting to two vital operational roles, which will play a key part in supporting our frontline and keeping our fleet on the road and blue lights bright.

We’re looking for:

  • Make ready operatives, who will replace and restock equipment and clean our emergency vehicles so that they can continue to deliver outstanding care to our patients. Applicants will need good communication skills, a basic understanding of IT and a full UK driving licence. Opportunities are currently available in Cambridge, Peterborough, Stevenage, Southend, King’s Lynn, Chelmsford and Harlow.
  • Vehicle technicians, who will work from refurbished or brand new workshops, with access to the latest equipment, to diagnose faults and repair and service our vehicles. Opportunities are currently available in Chelmsford, Southend, Stevenage, Peterborough, Waveney and Barton Mills.

Both of these roles come as part of an extensive programme to improve and modernise our estates, while supporting crews to deliver care to patients faster. As part of the plan, we are developing in-house vehicle workshops, designed to help keep our ambulances on the road, and a 24/7 make ready service, which will see specialist teams based in revamped stations to clean and restock all vehicles to a consistently high standard.

Successful applicants will be given the chance to join a fantastic team and will be rewarded for their commitment with a competitive salary, comprehensive training package, opportunities for development and career progression, an excellent pension plan and paid annual leave. Other benefits include access to our comprehensive wellbeing service and cycle to work scheme, as well as discounts which can be used at the cinema and a variety of retailers.

Anyone who has friends or family that they feel would be the perfect fit for our Trust, can get more information on our website or by emailing
