Two national guidance documents have today been released to support our response to patients at this time.
These have been released by The National Ambulance Service Medical Directors (NASMeD) and the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE) , and the guidance is supplementary to JRCALC, and specific to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Managing symptoms (including at the end of life) in the community
Guidance for adults and children with a prior diagnosis of asthma/COPD; AND a salbutamol metered dose inhaler (MDI)
These will be reviewed in three months with a view to either removing them after COVID-19 or incorporating them into the existing JRCALC guidance.
