Free CPD - Good Care to People Living with HIV

From the 1st October, Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis is available on the NHS to a large number of men who have sex with men.

This simple once a day tablet has been shown to significantly reduce rates of HIV infections.

Since the initial HIV outbreak in the 70s & 80s there have been rapid and very effective means of treating the virus to the extent that someone on treatment can now become “undetectable”. This means that on blood tests the virus is in sufficiently low levels that it becomes untransmittable.

The National Ambulance LGBT Network has recently produced a free certificated CPD resource on providing good care to those living with HIV which is available to every one and can be found here.
