CQM – Summer edition focuses on Information Governance

Clinical Quality Matters (CQM) logo

The recently published Summer edition of Clinical Quality Matters focuses on Information Governance from the position of being a healthcare provider.

Whether it is dealing with the personal details of patients, or information about staff or other stakeholders, Information Governance is the responsibility of each employee.
It is both a legal and moral obligation for all clinical, operational, support and administration staff to safeguard the information that we hold and use during the course of our work.

This special edition of Clinical Quality Matters looks at different elements of Information Governance and how we take care of sensitive data.

It outlines the frameworks and the key legislation we all have to work with, the different kinds of data risks, and the consequences of breaches. It also provides appropriate advice on preventing data theft and what to do if you are requested to share sensitive information.
