Disability pay protection

Trust managers having been working in partnership with UNISON to respond to a collective grievance raised over the removal of pay protection for staff redeployed due to a disability as defined under the Equality Act 2010.

The Trust has agreed that in order to be more supportive to staff, we will with immediate effect offer the same level of pay protection for these staff as those set out in the change management policy. This will be updated to be reflected in all relevant policies shortly.

The Trust is grateful to UNISON for bringing this issue to our attention.
