Disposing Trust batteries

Our clinical waste drivers will shortly be making routine healthcare waste collection to Trust sites.

Any battery collection box (es) that are more than half full of Trust issued batteries and left adjacent to the healthcare waste carts will be emptied.

Please note the drivers won’t be making ad hoc site visits to collect batteries. You also don’t need to raise a job to arrange collection of batteries.

If there are batteries that cannot be transported, drivers will leave the whole consignment and won’t make future collections until they are removed.

Please dispose of both rechargeable and household batteries at other recycling centres.
