Dunmow fire station RTC demonstration event

RRV line up blue sky

Are you clinical? Have you ever wanted to know more about the fire service procedures in dealing with RTCs? If so then this is the event for you!

Hazardous Area Response Team paramedic Kendal Lavery, not content with helping the public on a normal day to day basis, also works as a retained fire fighter. Through the combination of both his roles he knows only too well the risks and hazards involved in attending RTCs, and felt ambulance staff attending these incidents would benefit from an event that shares this knowledge.

The aim is to allow ambulance crews to understand what the fire service can do to vehicles and why, as well as provide the opportunity for discussion amongst colleague from another emergency service.

After an introduction to risks and procedures, participants will see the drill ground for informative demonstrations. There is the opportunity to be very hands on, so make sure you bring your helmet, safety glass and gloves along too.

The event takes place on Thursday, 22nd March at Dunmow fire station, Chelmsford Road, CM6 1LW between 1900-2100.

If you would like to attend please contact Kendal.Lavery@eastamb.nhs.uk.
