EAAA clinical day tomorrow in Bury

East Anglian Air Ambulance is holding its monthly clinical governance day tomorrow (3rd July) in Bury St Edmunds – and Trust staff are invited to join them.

This month the team will be discussing a number of specific case studies and topics, including paediatric cardiac arrest, penetrating neck trauma, and an introduction to the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The event is running at South Lee School (IP33 2BT) and will open to EEAST staff at 11am (directions at the bottom of this article).

You can take a look at the full programme below:                                           

11-11.45am: Paediatric Cardiac Arrest 

11.45am-12.45pm: Code Black 

12.45-2.15pm: Lunch (sponsored by GE) and Supervised US practice (eFAST and focussed ECHO) 

2.15-3pm: Penetrating Neck Trauma  (three case studies) 

3-3.30pm: Introduction to the CQC 

3.30-4pm: How are we safe? 

4-4.30pm: Never Events                

DIRECTIONS: From the A14, take the Bury St Edmunds East slip-road and follow the sign A143 Haverhill/A134 Sudbury. Go straight over the next two roundabouts and turn left at the third, signposted South Lee School. At the fork in the road, keep left. The school is then on the right hand side.

On entry to the school sports ground, take a sharp left and follow the track round the back of the large sports hall and park at the end. You will the pavilion on the right hand side.
