EEAST Clinical Briefing days a triumph!

Staff and volunteers from around the Trust once again celebrated clinical excellence and development at this year's briefing events.

Partner organisations were also invited to attend the two-day event, aimed at highlighting clinical developments in the pre-hospital world as well as from past experiences. Guests were treated to talks and workshops from some of the country’s leading experts in pre hospital trauma care.

The exciting talks included the science behind resuscitation, how the trauma network in the East of England helps staff and how to better identify sepsis in patients.

Head of Clinical Quality Tracy Nicholls said: "It's been fantastic to see so many staff wanting to take the time to attend this event and really engage with the subjects. I'm proud to work for an organisation that always looks to develop it's practices and works to be better every day. I would also like to thank all of our speakers, who took the time to come and talk, as well as everyone behind the scenes working tirelessly to make this such a successful two days."

Chief Executive Robert Morton added: "As an organisation we must constantly learn from our own and others experiences. We don't work in silos. We are proud to present our successes and open when talking about failures. I'm humbled to see so many people, not just from EEAST but other organisations, who have the same mindset and want to achieve together."

The events were held at Newmarket Racecourse in Suffolk. A number of sponsors were able to support the days and present their latest work at the briefing too.
