Female staff make up just over 50% of the workforce. East of England Ambulance Service is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone who works here.

Menopause is a natural part of every woman’s life, and it isn’t always an easy transition. As a result the Trust is pleased to announce that it has created a Menopause Guidance to support staff who are experiencing symptoms associated with menopause or perimenopause.

The Trust would like to launch the publication of the Menopause Guidance today coinciding with World Menopause Day (18th October 2021).

The Trust hopes that you find this document helpful and would like to welcome you all to join us in celebrating World Menopause Day today.

The Trust would also like to thank Unison and various stakeholders who have contributed and supported this process. Following  Unison's request for a policy, the Trust will work towards creating a Long Term Conditions Policy, which will also include a section on menopause.
