EEAST staff joins forces with Police and Fire colleagues to pass on their coaching skills and you can take part

A group of EEAST staff are working with Resound to complete their ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) Level 5 coaching qualification – and volunteers are needed to practice the skills they have learned.

There are two different workshops on offer, one introductory, and the other for people with previous coaching experience.

The Introduction to Coaching for Performance workshop is designed for managers who want to introduce coaching approaches to maximise individual and team performance. It will cover;

  • benefits of coaching for the individual, team and organisation
  • rapport and trust
  • confidentiality and ethics
  • GROW and OSKAR models
  • coaching contracts
  • skills practice.

The dates and venues for these sessions are;

  • Thursday, 31st August at Chelmsford station
  • Monday, 4th September at Southend station.

The Advanced Coaching Skills workshop is designed for managers and leaders with prior knowledge of coaching, who want to maximise the benefits of coaching in a complex and changing business. It will cover;

  • beyond GROW, other models
  • virtual coaching skills
  • coaching in a complex and constantly changing business environment
  • ethical dilemmas
  • reflective practice and supervision
  • skills practice.

 The dates and venues for these sessions are;

  • Friday, 1st September at Chelmsford station
  • Friday, 5th September at Southend station.

All sessions will run from 10am to 4pm.

Attendance is in the participant’s own time, but is free to attend. There are limited spaces so for further information or to book your place please email leadership@eastamb.nhs.uk.
